Wedding Photography and 2010
It is the tax day of the year (April 15th) and looks like this is the first time I am updating my blog in 2010! Wow, talking about a busy year. I have recently finished working on the pictures of a Bengali Wedding (Towfiq and Mouri) and I will be uploading those pictures soon.

I have rented the Nikon 85mm 1.4 lens for this wedding and I played with this lens in my backyard with my son playing. The picture quality is amazing. Now I need to save up money to buy this lens in the near future! I will post a few of my son's pictures taken by this lens as well.

I will keep you guys posted.

I have covered Towfiq and Mouri's engagement ceremony back in November of 2009. Here are a few of the pictures.

Long Break from Wedding Photography!
It has been a long break from my wedding photography business for me! We bought our first house in June of 2009 and last few months my main project was my house. It was a good break! I will post some pictures of my new house on the blog soon.

I have a few weddings and engagement that are booked up for 2010 but it is not super crazy yet. Not yet!

Luciana and Jonathan's Wedding: May 30th, 2009
Last weekend I have covered Luciana and Jonathan's wedding. It was a beautiful beach wedding and Luciana looked gorgeous! I have uploaded a few pictures of the wedding to the site already so that Luciana and her family and friends can view them without much delay. Here are a few of the pictures:

Reubee and Kenneth's Engagement Session
Last Saturday I went to the beach again with Reubee and Kenneth - a wonderful couuple whose wedding I will be covering on June 6th, 2009. I have noticed that I am not being very frequent on my blog. Luciana's engagement pictures were the last thing I have added to this blog (I will cover her wedding on May 30th, 2009).

Reubee and Kenneth really liked Luciana's beach pictures and they requested a photo shoot on the beach for their engagement session. Here are some of the pictures from last Saturday.

Oh, I have also created a FLASH album for them with their engagement pictures. You can view it here:

Luciana and Jonathan
Today I took Luciana and Jonathan's engagement pictures. It was a beautiful sunny day at the Dockweiler Beach and both of them looked so much in love. It was a pleasure capturing the loving couple with my camera.

Craigslist and Wedding Photographer
I am a bit surprised to see many photographers who are advertising on craigslist (http://www.craigslist.org) for a very minimal fee. I understand that a lot of couples can not afford to spend $3000 to $5000 on wedding photography - but $125 for all day long wedding photography? I really do not know what to say. I hope the economy will bounce back soon - and those photographers who are basically trying to get business by lowering their prices (really lowering their prices) will be able to get enough business so that they can say no to these super low paying jobs!

I think some people believe they are paying the photographer for the hours they are using their camera and flash (and whatever other utilities they use during the photo shoot) - so when they hear about a package for $1000 or so, they immediately do the math in their head. And that math, my friend, is totally wrong! It takes anywhere from 20 to 30 hours of hard work in post processing the images to make sure they look their best. Unfortunately a lot of people do not remember that.

San Diego
Valentine's day weekend we went to a friend's place in San Diego. After dinner we were all heading back to our friend's place but I had to stop to take this shot of downtown San Diego.

Deep & Titli's Wedding
Friday the 6th of 2009 was Deep and Titli's wedding. The wedding was hosted at Peacock Garden and I was fortunate enough to take some shots at their wedding. Here are a few shots of Titli that I like:
